If/when something catastrophic does happen to the earth that ultimately leads to the end of human life, none of us will obviously survive. I don't see why people quit their jobs, built forts, etc in preparation for it. It could happen tomorrow, it could happen 2 million years from now. Why not live your life to the fullest, rather than constantly fearing 'the end'?
