She doesn't do anything that requires her to lip sync.
And yes there is a back track, but he is obviously also singing live. His singing goes away when he falls.
Anyways, I attended his Chicago show on Friday and was blown away. He is such an amazing performer. I did get annoyed by the heavy backtrack though, because you could barely hear his voice.
