So we are all different ages here on ATRL and I was just thinking about our music preferences and the artists we love, and also how our love for certain music changes. Some people don't really have a constant fave and some people have always had the same fave. I think most of us have several faves but only one true one.
I remember the first CD I ever bought was "Oops...I Did It Again" by Britney Spears back in 2000. I saved up my money for months and finally got enough to buy a CD/casette stereo for my room and I bought Britney's CD too.
Thinking back, I was in love with Britney and I didn't care if people knew it. I was very young, around 7, and I just did what I wanted without caring about what others thought of me. My parents didn't care either, at least they never said anything to me about it. I still like Britney and her music, but not as much as I used to.
So, what was your first CD/album you ever bought? How old were you, and what were your feelings about music and life at the time?
I don't remember, thinbk it was one of those Smurf hits albums
The first one by an act, I think was either The Writing's on the Wall or Aqua - Aquarius
