False and False. English is considered an asset in the Philippines, if you knew how to speak it, the opportunities are endless. Don't get me wrong though, "Tagalog" is such a beautiful language. I think what you're referring to in regards with mentality is that "the better English speaker you are, the more impressive you are in the eyes of most people." Which is indeed wrong, as we should love our own mother language. And in regards with the skin whitening products, I don't see anything wrong with that. Some people just have their own preferences. It's not different from those people who wanna get tanned.
