I don't really hate her anymore..

But I think it's more than just the fact that she's successful, it's the fact that she used cheap methods to tie records with legends on an album that critics were very critical of and the quality of which is questionable.

I don't understand hating ANYONE that one doesn't personally know. Katy hasn't done anything to hurt someone, so I don't get hating her. Hating her music, that I get. But hating the person, that's a bit psychotic.

Well she's a little bland. She has all these #1s, but how many good performances of those songs has she given? That's also one of the reasons people attack her. You have to look at it from both sides.

I think it's a bit of all that's been mentioned, except the ***** thing. That was a random point to add.

And I have seen/heard far more whoring stuff come from her fellow music artists. Her ****tiest songs remain unreleased, LMAO!!!

I am constatly coming accross photos of other artists and shocked that people freak out at Katy for wearing ***** clothes/***** moves, etc... uhm... she is tame compared to that stuff, LOL!

As for her performances... it's true they haven't always been the best. And one has to actually watched afew to find a good one, lol. however, I honestly think she has improved since her tour... which makes sense...

AND I was someone that did NOT like Katy. Didn't dislike her... but I didn't care to learn more about her, get more music besides singles I heard on tv/radio, AND CALLED HER VOICE WHINY!!!!! But then... I finally came aroudn after not being able to get enough of the Teenage Dream song and did a bit of research to see whos he is. WOW. It doesn't take much... in my opinion.. if you're open to liking her.. to.. like her!

Then you clearly see she CAN sing, she is not a studio creationa dn she has a lot of say in her career.

Katy is awesome!!

I agree, i have never seen katy doing something whorish and if she has its really tame.

I honestly don't care how successful she is, to make a big fuss over her success is pitiful and makes you look pressed. I like Katy, Gaga and etc.. and I don't let their accomplishments bother me one bit. It's just selfish to only want success for your fave only and nobody else.

Becoming successful means becoming more popular; therefore, the proportion between fans and haters (key word, haters) will naturally increase.

If you are the sweetest person on the world, some people will hate you for being "too sweet".

This is applied on every field of life too. When you become more successful, people start disliking/hating you for being "too successful". Their hate may be, in most cases, pretty irrational but that is exactly the reason why trolls exist on the internet for example.

She's.. annoying. But not to the point that I'll hate her. I like her music but when it's getting overplayed it's not a good thing
