Most of the major movies has been released this year and I'm curious to know which one of those you've seen do you cnsider your 'Movie of the Year'.
To me, it came down to 2 Fox Searchlight films: 127 Hours and The Tree Of Life. It was a close one. Both were convincing and were inspiring. But at the end, I chose TThe Tree Of Life. This movie had beautiful cinematography, wonderful writing, convincing performances by the actors, and it was very atmospheric. I related to it, especially the father-son conflict, except i'm a girl. The movie had a lot of religious messages and I consider no religion so I myself find it a little baffling that I connected with it well. It's an instant classic and has entered my Top 10 Movies of All Time.
Nothing really blew me away this year. But there were a handful of movies I enjoyed: Rango, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Bridesmaids, Insidious, Midnight in Paris, X-Men, Captain America, The Help, Crazy Stupid Love, etc.
No, seriously... Um, I don't have one. I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. It was great, but there's some others I wanna see before I rule out my movie(s) of the year.
Am I the only one who thought Rise of the Planet of the Apes wasn't that great? I mean, it wasn't bad at all but I just didn't feel it was as special as I expected it to be.

No, you are absolutely not.
It was enjoyable but nothing special.
Anyways, I didn't alot of movies this year, but out of what I did see it was probably either Horrible Bosses (the funniest movie I'd see in along time), or Contagion.
