I'm quite sure this will smash. But it's far from my favorite from her tbh.

The song is real cute but its not anything special. Sounds like most of what's out now. Not surprised since it's coming from Rihanna. This is just a quick way for her to get another number one. And that's pretty much Rihanna in a nutshell. *shrugs*

Lol have you read the stories about him? He may stay behind the scenes, but every account I've read makes him sound like a pimp ruling over his girls with an iron fist: he says who, when, where, what, how much. It's his show all the way.

Rihanna goes clubbing in "We Found Love," the singer's new Calvin Harris-produced track off her just-announced sixth album. Thumping beats, airy vocals and repetitive synth keyboard riffs punctuate the upbeat dance jam.
The lyrics to "We Found Love" are equally as shimmery as the music: "Yellow diamonds in the light; And we're standing side by side. As your shadow crosses mine; What it takes to come alive."
Ri revealed the song title on Monday in a Twitter post. "NP: 'WE FOUND LOVE,'" she said. "We Found Love" was produced by Harris, the Scottish producer/DJ whose single "Bounce" is currently at No. 11 on the Dance Airplay chart. The single is reportedly being released on Oct. 11, although Island Def Jam has yet to confirm the release date.
In equally awesome news, it was also revealed Thursday that the singer's new album will be released Nov. 21. She hinted last week on Twitter that a new release would drop "THIS FALL!!!!!" Though an official title has not been announced, Rihanna has simply described the new disc as "GangstaR."
Her upcoming release will mark Rihanna's sixth studio album since her "Music of the Sun" arrival in 2005 and will come nearly a year after her last set, "Loud," was released in November of 2010. This sort of rapid-fire release pattern isn't new for the star: since 2005, she's dropped a new album every year except for 2008.
"Loud" debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold 1.5 million copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan. It has spawned six Billboard Hot 100 hit singles, and of those, three were No. 1s: "Only Girl (In the World)," "What's My Name?" (featuring Drake) and "S&M" (featuring Britney Spears). "Loud" is her second-biggest selling album next to only 2007's "Good Girl Gone Bad" (2.7 million).
"Loud's" most recent hit, "Cheers (Drink to That)," became the album's fourth top 10 this week, as it climbed 11-10 in its seventh week on the tally.

RIHANNA - WE FOUND LOVE (SINGLE REVIEW)
First of all, “We Found Love” isn’t really much of a pop song.
While Rihanna‘s synth-laden singles like “Don’t Stop The Music,” “Only Girl (In The World)” and “Who’s That Chick?”, her collaboration with DJ David Guetta, provided a pop-friendly preview of RiRi tripping the light fantastic, “We Found Love” is a full-on Euro-friendly House production that would fit in seamlessly on the sweat-soaked dance floors of Ibiza.
Steering away from Norwegian duo Stargate–the hit-makers responsible for much of the success behind the Rated R and LOUD era–Rihanna’s latest was crafted by UK dance sensation, Calvin Harris (“Ready For The Weekend,” “Bounce”). Much like his other productions for leading pop ladies (Kylie Minogue‘s “In My Arms”; Sophie Ellis-Bextor‘s “Off & On”), “We Found Love” is a 3-minute explosion of glittering, euphoric synthesizers and pulsating club rhythms–all with a distinct electro-Caribbean gloss.
The song’s structure too is strictly a hands-aloft dance affair, featuring several major rave-happy breakdowns a la Afrojack‘s dance floor destroyer “Take Over Control (feat. Eva Simons)” or LMFAO‘s radio-slaying “Party Rock Anthem, as well as repeat-heavy lyricism that makes the original play like one almighty remix. (Can you even begin to imagine the quality of the remixes?)
Production aside, RiRi truly makes “We Found Love” hers, as she always does, with her vocals. But far from most of the songs that earned the Bajan beauty her crown within pop royalty, there’s not even a lick of the bossy ‘tude of “Hard,” nor a hint of the rough ‘n’ rowdy “Rude Boy” RiRi.
Instead she simply sings–highlighting not only her heaven-sent upper register, but the song’s gorgeous lyrics: “Yellow diamonds in the light and we’re standing side by side / As your shadow crosses mine, what it takes to come alive,” she sweetly croons with all the sincerity and innocence of–as Calvin Harris accurately described–an angel.
While the song is much more in the vein of the celebratory dance-pop of LOUD than the moody noir of Rated R, “We Found Love” still signals a musical (and sure enough in weeks to come, a visual) shift for Rihanna–an artist who’s consistently proven herself capable of skillfully reinventing herself in a way not seen since Madonna.
As for that Rihanna reign letting up anytime soon?
Well, the odds of that happening are even less likely than getting hit by a satellite this evening.

I like it! Hit single. More lowkey than I thought it would be.
She sounds hella 2006 on this song... which is BEYOND a great thing.
