Avenged Sevenfold are much more talented than those "new rock bands" you speak of. "Bat Country" just isn't a good representation of their music, that's all. I'm glad they're #1 though, it's a relief to see such a band there instead of some typical pop ****.
My Chemical Romance need to release the "You Know What They Do..." video, I don't care if they have a new album coming out next year, that song is great.
I think it's funny how a lot of rock videos that end up flopping on TRL end up doing extremely well on pop radio ("Dirty Little Secret," "Beverly Hills," "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been," etc.) I think TRL should wait to premiere them AFTER they hit it big on pop radio, because it'd have more of an impact on the countdown. Oh well, we'll hopefully be seeing 2 or 3 new rock videos a month from now, P.O.D. being one of them.

there's no reason that one day to other..they have #10..then #6 , #3 and #1..
if they have haven't a very good run before they hit #1...

Trust me, A7X fans are definitely not using autovoters, I doubt any of their fans even know what those things are. A7X has a hardcore fanbase, so they are just voting for the love of the band...they are definitely not cheating at all...trust me. Their fans decided to start voting like crazy for their video, and now their hard work is paying off.
It is amazing to see such a good band at number one again. I cannot wait until they release "The Beast and the Harlot", it's definitely their best song, the guitar solo is mint.

Here we go again, basing the quality of music on how well it does on some countdown show whose ratings have been sinking lower and lower by the year, and is pretty much defunct without the real VJ who actually had a good taste in music. Definitely not. nine inch nails and System of a Down NEVER make TRL, and recently, they've been selling more records than, say, The Veronicas and Ryan Cabrera, so what's your point? TRL usually shuns talented musicians, and rock bands are no exception these days.
Daddy Yankee is a horrible "artist;" reggaeton is the same f‘cking beat played over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, with some dumbass rapping in Spanish. It's all the same. At least Korn are credited with pioneering a style of music that was nonexistent in 1994. Every band gives them mad respect, and their album just debuted at #3, so do you really think I give a good God damn if they don't make TRL? They don't even count votes anymore, it's obvious, so I don't understand what you're trying to prove here. You want to talk about charts that actually MATTER? "Twisted Transistor" is #4 on Active Rock and #8 on Alternative. I'm 100% happy with that, and they're only going to go higher as their spins and audience impressions are increasing by the day.
Not to mention, "Rompe" (how gay of a song title is that?) is NOT going to crack the Top 10. You're one dillusional **** if you think so.

Good job on totally missing out on what I said!
TRL is unimportant because IT DOES NOT AFFECT SALES ANYMORE. Their ratings have gone down the shitter, probably because the countdowns are never interesting anymore, and Carson Daly has his own show...without Carson Daly, it's not TRL. It's more like PVC--Pop Video Countdown, 'cause all they show is pop **** (okay, okay, Avenged Sevenfold are #1, but who was expecting THAT several months ago? Not me.)

You obviously are very close-minded to be calling rock/alternative '******' when it actually requires talent and skill unlike messing with your voice on a computer program and having other people write your songs and play the instruments for you (Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan.) Well Should The Retirement Age be Shortned by 40 Days.That would seem logicial because of the Fridays they took off this fall.It would sound reasonable.btw "Because Of You" and "Dance,Dance" would have retired without the Fridays Taking Off by Now.I would think so if my math is correct.Well my guessing 2006 is going to by alot competive for the #1 Spot.People like Clay Aiken,Christina Aguilera,and possibly Britney will be returning to the Countdown.The Fight for #1 is going to be extremely competitive On TRL.Can't wait to see it.

I dont understand how Avenged Sevenfold is staying at #1, this makes no sense to me. Im not trying to hate on the band or anything, i just dont understand how a video that was always at like the number 10 spot on the countdown and it often fell off, somehow climbs the countdown in like 3 days and stays at #1 for however long that it has been now. It just doesnt make any sense to me. I have never thought that TRL was rigged before, but when you look at it this way it surely could be a possibility.

TRL has always been rigged. Kelly Clarkson being #1 for 20+ days on ANY "major" countdown shows that, no matter how popular she is. Not trying to bash her, I like her, actually, all i'm saying is that it has been rigged for quite some time. That's why I hate TRL these days, not because the videos are out of balance with what the viewing audience actually likes and that the audience and hosts are really dumb and stupid now(and they are), it's because it's rigged and it has been for YEARS.
And to the person who said A7F sucks and...wait, let me get this right, "A7F sounds like all other rock bands"..um, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. dj_banks, you misguided maroon. Listen to Beast And The Harlot and then tell me that A7F sounds like *anything* on rock radio.
