The news was more grim for the return of two popular reality shows. Survivor's 23rd season had its lowest premiere ratings ever at around 10.5 million viewers. ANTM also got off to its worst start ever with the All-Stars cycle 17 at under 2 million viewers. Since those two shows have a combined 40 seasons, it seems like viewers are getting a little tired of them.
I thought with dis season being da All Star season, the ratings would be higher. I think Tyra should just stop doin ANTM after this season- the public is NOT interested anymore.

I think the public is just catching on Tyra's egocentrism. The sudden decline of ANTM's ratings started when she fired Paulina Porizkova and everyone were talking about Tyra's ****** attitude. Add to that, the show feels like a scam for them to make money by getting wannabe-models, put them into a "model competition" devoid of realism by exchanging it for drama cause that's what's exciting for a reality TV show.
I mean, could anyone really believe they are letting these girls chill inside their apartment while the real models are out there finding jobs in go-sees? Hot mess.

Ur totally right. Even on her talk show she had dis ****** kno it all attitude. And ANTM doesnt even seem real anymore, it kinda seems forced and fake. Even their choices in the winners seem fake- its like they choose the least model lookin girl for the winner wen the girl who really looks like a model get snub, all for controversy so ppl can tune in next season.
Declines are completely typical for shows as old as this one. Its ratings have been sliding gradually for years. No reason to sound the alarm bell particularly loud now, especially when ANTM still does better than a number of shows on The CW.
The show is tiring. I told myself I'd watch this season, but I just couldn't.
It got old.
Shame about Survivor, though. I'm sure as hell not tired of it. But I can see why people might be. It's been going on forever. Either way, I hope they step it up.
