Rihanna being discussed in a Rihanna thread, how interesting. I suppose you with all of 23 posts would know the users she had impact on.

That wasn't the point. All of you are so mad over this new album, and that is the point. That Rihanna Reign just won't let up

She said she was going to do a re-release but I guess she liked the material so much she wanted to do a whole new album. I agree, I would have liked the re-release, but with the lead single coming out this week and the album not being released until December, Loud will continue to sell from Cheers and the lead single and will even get some Holiday support and could end up near 2x Platinum in the US and 6 mill Worlwide.

IKR? This was supposed to be a rerelease but recording went so well it turned into something greater. What's the problem? Most 'rereleases' come just a year after the original, which was the original purpose of the album.

Also, Rih would be dumb to run to Roc Nation with the rest of Jay-Z's pretty lightskin black girl projects. He won't put much into pushing her just like he hasn't put much into Rita Ora, Alexis Jordan, or that girl that sings AKeys' parts on Empire State Of Mind when Akeys isn't available.
Anyways, "overexposure" is a stan-invented myth to politely say one is tired of an artist's existence. The only way to burn out in the media's eyes is if they label you a burn out. Look @ Xtina, she takes 40 year breaks between albums and is labelled a burn out.
Eventually Rih will slip up and miss the mark and her music won't do as well as it used to and she won't be able to pull a quick rescue like how she did Rated R into LOUD, but as long as she has the time she might as well keep rolling out the punches. I'm not gonna fake like i won't listen to every annual album she puts out. I just hope this new one is better than LOUD; I'm glad this boring era is ending in a few days.

And, I agree with this entire post.

How is actually looking forward to the new music which I admitted to earlier being mad? Several other people also said they were looking forward to it. If you call that mad you learn to relearn the definition sweetie.

Kisuke, you're wrong. Because Alexis Jordan, Ciara, Karina, Shontelle, Keri Hilson, Wynter Gordon and many others all are light skined women that have sang over euro-dance beats, yet none of them got in the way of Rihanna's power.

Because she ****ing can.
No, but really, Rihanna is just addicted to making music and I think she gets bored with albums very quickly. She constantly wants to be onto the next one. When she tires of a particular era's sound and image, she moves on. That tends to happen extremely quickly for her, hence why she's releasing albums every year.
Part of it also stems from Rihanna and her team/label deciding to use the album-a-year strategy. It's a pretty interesting and intelligent strategy, and obviously we as fans don't mind them using it.
Oh, and let's really not with the whole "why won't she just take her time with an album for once and create something amazing?" argument, because it's extremely flawed. I mean, for one, Rated R (which is an epic album and definitely one of the best of the last decade) was recorded in the same time span as both GGGB and Loud - both of which are also great albums. She's able to create great music in a short amount of time, so there's no issue there.

And you're serious too.

She gets paid almost triple as Kim K & Paris. lol They don't get nearly as much as Rihanna. Magazine do count. Nobody tells people what magazine to buy. People like Rihanna. Which is why she should more than any artist, actor or model this year. Breaking records in a country is an impact. Nobody tells people to buy her tickets. Besides Beyonce & Rihanna Bjork doesn't praise many mainstream artist. Bon Jovi requesting you to perform their classic with isn't an everyday thing too. In a sense it is what of an impact. You can't count that stuff out. Lol

And I like how Rihanna only has one song with Euro inspired dance beats (Only Girl). Haters....

Rihanna will last. Only 23 but her songs don't skew young or try to cater to teenagers. Her age won't catch up with her music for years to come.

I agreed with the statements about legends requesting/praising her and her breaking records in other countries which is why I didn't bold them. Although when I think of impact I think of your legacy, and when it concerns an artist I think of their music.
Sure if you want to talk about Rihanna as a fashion icon I could see where you would include the magazines.

Maybe then we'll get a true follow-up to Rated R. On the heels of two fairly light-hearted dance albums, I would find that quite welcome.

In the words of a Beyoncé hater circa 2006-2009:
This bitch is so ****ing overexposed, she need to sit da **** down and have some babies.
Just kidding; TBH, I don't think Rihanna's going to get exposed soon because we don't see the bitch anywhere. She's all over the radio, but that's the extent. Beyoncé, at least during B'Day and IASF, she promoted a lot. Gaga, she's everywhere too. Rihanna, not so much. The public doesn't view it as the new Rihanna album, they view it as the new Rihanna song.
So honestly, I don't really care... it's just not a good jook, releasing albums every year. But it's whatever.

I am so tired of people wishing for a Rated R 2.0.
Albums like that come ONCE in a career, and if you want something deep and very musical, then you'll just have to wait because Rihanna has no inspiration for something like that right now.S he is just a 23-year-old living out her dream and having fun. Her music translates that.

Katy Perry & Ke$ha are the IT girls in the teen world. Rihanna is most popular among 20-30 year olds in the US from my personal observations. I don't know for sure at all though.
