Amy, since Back to Black is held to such a high pedestal for British quality, and the fact that she passed away at a young age. However, I think Adele's and Florence's catalogs could hold up very well based on their own merits.

Isn't it kind of unfair to put Amy's two albums against all the albums Florence and Adele will most likely release?
However, hmmm... although I really prefer Florence, Adele has a lot of potential. I don't know. :-\

Yes BUT the majority of people now praising it bought it when she died, hence why it went number 1, people jump on the bandwagon, it is what people do. Why do you think everyone started having Amy avatars and signatures here after she died? Did anyone have those before she died? Not that I know of.

Before her death she was being talked about for her drug and alcohol abuse, not her music.

I'm not just talking about ATRL, I'm generalizing it so people can better understand it, I'm not going to relate it to everyone I know.

The same thing happened when MJ died, his albums were already classics just like B2B but people had been hating on him for years including the media but he dies and all of a sudden he was the greatest human being that every lived.

The media is a fickle beast and many people are very easily led. It started Amy Winehouse is a drunken mess, she died and now it is Amy Winehouse is a national treasure what a waste of talent which I am obviously not disputing. Her behavior overshadowed her talent until her death, it has happened to many artists and it all clears up when the die. She dies and everyone is out buying her albums again.

Hence, it's funny how people start listening when you are dead.
