Her being snubbled this year was the worst though.

None of her videos stand out? I mean her only career defining videos are really Distubia & Umbrella... maybe that's why? She's not the best live performer so maybe that's a reason as well? I don't know.

Especially because this was her biggest era.

While she has been successful, she always lose her spots to more popular females at the moment.

Remember how she was THE "it" girl during GGGB and was getting nominated and winning everything? She needs an era like that to compete again. Her success is just... good.

Does this need to be explained?

She just falls through the cracks I guess? She's not an automatic nominee like Britney Spears, Beyonce or Lady Gaga and this year Katy Perry and Adele have both made a bigger splash so maybe that's why. It just can't be room for everyone.

This is going to be good.

I honestly feel like her and Viacom must have had a falling out because there's no real reason that both MTV and BET would be so adamant in their pursuits to not award her (or even nominate her, in MTV's case).

As real as it gets.

Who cares about the other award shows? The girl has some Grammys under her belt.

Ever since she told MTV Canada to Get ****ed on Twitter I've sensed friction.

Maybe she dont get nominated as much bcuz they dont want her to perform at the award shows....

She didn't get snubbed at billboards award show.

because the awards show (EMA, VMA) are made by MTV - and there is clearly something between MTV and Rihanna - maybe the tweet, maybe financial problem, maybe some issue between MTV and someone from Rihanna's team, maybe they wanted Rihanna to do something (for example inteview) but she refused, maybe a combination of these things, maybe other thing
+ Rihanna probably refused to appear on the show due to Loud Tour in Europe, so they didn't nominate her (or they gave her one nom in what she will not win).
