1. It's unoffensive, fun, and romantic.
2. It's not as high on the catchy meter as "Teenage Dream" but it's still very catchy.
3. Slower, more mature songs like this are suited for the holiday season.
4. This will help redeem Katy in the public's eyes/make her look less gimmick-y, more sincere.
5. Songs like these are album sellers.
