Poor Caroline. Will she ever get that GS title?

It was a terrible match. Serena wasn't even playing that well and Caroline had a chance to get back into it after she recovered from 5-2 down in the second set. It's frustrating that she can't step it up when she needs to.

Nadal actually played a really good match, I was surprised. But Novak's in a different league.

It wasn't all too terrible. 34 winners for Serena and 34 errors is about even. Serena was NOT playing well, but she terribly destroyed number 1 ranked Caroline, effectively showing us why Women's tennis is at an all time low, in terms of how the young players are doing against the veterans. The veterans seem to be winning, forever. And we have been looking for younger players, it seems forever.

Nadal played a good match, of course Murray was going to lose, but I wanted him to at least put up more of an effort than he did. Oh well, that means Nadal is going to beat Djokovic tomorrow

I love Metreveli's and Dmitrieva's commentaries. Metreveli has always been very skeptical of women's tennis, so his commentaries are always fun.

Can't reeally write on my phone but Stosur defeated Williams. Surprising, but I knew that the only person who could have beat her was Stosur. Congrats

Woah, what?! I didn't get to watch, but it sounds like Stosur stomped all over Serena. I, for one, am totally shocked. What happened to Serena? With all that she felt like she had to prove, I thought she would be out for blood in this match.

But good for Stosur. This is a sort of coming-out moment for her that's been a long time coming. I like her a lot, and I hope it can lead to continued top-tier professional success for her.

Her form had been slipping as the tournament progressed. She didn't play well against Wozniacki despite the lopsided scoreline. I still didn't expect this outcome, though. I am pleased because I think Serena is going to continue to work hard now, she'll still feel as though she has a point to prove.

There was a controversial call from the umpire though. In her opening service game of the second set Serena hit a winner at 30-40 and shouted "come on" before Stosur had a chance to get a play on the ball. She had no hope of getting it regardless, but the umpire awarded her the point (and game) because Serena hindered her by shouting "come on". It could have potentially changed the match.
