We watched this documentary in class on Friday, and it really hit me. I have never seen a documentary of 9/11 is so raw and so uncensored. We didn't get to finish it (which is why I looked it up), but by the time the bell rung, the majority of the class was crying silent tears.
I'm posting this because I believe everyone should watch this. I know that when I watched this for the first time, I realized that I had kind of forgotten how truly horrible this was. Yes, we all know that the planes hit the buildings, so many people died, and it was horrific, but (especially if you didn't lose a loved one in the attacks or weren't actually there when it happened) some of us have lost the real emotional connect, as is bound to happen over time (you didn't cry when you learn(ed) about Pearl Harbor, do you? Or Slavery? The loss of emotional connect is the reason why people start those "there are worse things that have happened" arguments)
And because this happened in this modern age, there's so much more documentation of what happened, which is a good thing for us all to see. So, I don't know if anyone will watch this or post in this thread, but I recommend that you do, even if only the first part.
Beth Petrone's story really got to me. I choked up.
Yes, this was one of the points in the film where tears started rolling. When she started talking about how angry she sometimes gets when she thinks about how he chose to rescue instead of choosing her.
