Damn, "Boardwark Empire" cleaned up. I definitely wasn't expecting this to be the year that "Mad Men" finally loses the Outstanding Drama Series award, but now it's looking quite likely.

I think Mad Men has the tapes to beat Boardwalk Empire in Series.

But now I'm extra worried about Drama Actor.

Who do you want to win? 'cause by the looks of it Buscemi is going to take it.

If NARAS goes by TAPE (which, ostensibly, they should) - there's no way in the world that Jon Hamm could lose. (Well, maybe to Kyle Chandler ... but that's a pipe dream if there ever was one). "The Suitcase" (the episode he submitted) is his finest performance in the show's run so far. Ideally, it should do for him and Elizabeth Moss what "Whitecaps" did for James Gandolfini and Edie Falco in 2003. They should have no competition.

But Drama Actor and Actress are ****ing STACKED this year.

Poor Jon Hamm. Always the bridesmaid...

And yet they still found room for Mariska Hargitay.

Ugh. Paul McCrane won Guest Drama Actor for Harry's Law.

You know what this means.

Kathy Bates is winning next Sunday.

According to the official press release PDF that's on the Emmy website, the winner of Original Music and Lyrics was the song Justin Timberlake sang as his monologue, NOT "3-Way"

I also heard they messed up with the Choreography award and first announced Mark Ballas as the winner, and then they clarified and said Mia Michaels had won. And then on the website they were listing the tie... I swear, these award shows need to get their **** together, because it's not cute at all to see them leak the winners, mess up when the announce nominees and winners, forget about awards, etc. So unprofessional...

Anyway, Hot in Cleveland is an Emmy-winning show!!! Also, I'm happy to see Loretta Devine get some recognition, since I've been a fan of her since Boston Public (although here I was actually pulling for Mary McDonnell).
