Exactly. Just because a certain demographic is statistically at a higher risk for a disease doesn't mean that every single one of them has it. It makes no sense to preemptively make that assumption. African-Americans (women in particular) are also at a higher risk for HIV transmission, imagine the uproar if black people were banned from donating blood for this reason.
This backwards way of thinking should stay in the 1980s where it belongs. I assumed that in 2011, people would know better than to think AIDS is strictly a gay disease.
