That whole movie was actually a whole new take on the zombie subgenre. I'm sure George A. Romero, the creator of that genre, would agree.
Now, I don't particularly care for video games, so I don't care if these films are like the games or not. However, I do care about the STORY. These movies, aside from the original, haven't given me anything in that department. If Anderson would put all of the sfx and look on the back burner and focus more on moving the story foward, he could have something great on his hands.
But all I saw when I watched these movies is well choreographed fight scenes, big stunts, great looking sets, and some goodlooking people. All I'm saying is, step the story up. I want the story, not the eye candy. Lots can be done here because it's a geat idea. Fresh eyes can help out a lot.

Well I'm glad that you pointed that out. You actually have a reason other than "It's not like the video game." that everyone seems to rant.. Hopefully with the desire to listen to the fan's wants and needs for the next film, he will actually put forth a good plot now. When the 4th one spawned success, and the 5th one was announced to be confirmed, he made sure to reach out to the fans for the first time. We got the characters from the game, now let's not screw up their roles from the video game.
