The term "hater" is used too loosely around these parts. Anyway, I've seen all these movies and was not impressed. I liked the original, tho, because it offered a new take on zombies. That whole movie was actually a whole new take on the zombie subgenre. I'm sure George A. Romero, the creator of that genre, would agree.

Now, I don't particularly care for video games, so I don't care if these films are like the games or not. However, I do care about the STORY. These movies, aside from the original, haven't given me anything in that department. If Anderson would put all of the sfx and look on the back burner and focus more on moving the story foward, he could have something great on his hands.

But all I saw when I watched these movies is well choreographed fight scenes, big stunts, great looking sets, and some goodlooking people. All I'm saying is, step the story up. I want the story, not the eye candy. Lots can be done here because it's a geat idea. Fresh eyes can help out a lot.

Plot wise, yes it was weak. But visually it was the best of the series. Resident Evil Afterlife is my favorite Resident Evil film. It's basically all action and elements from the video game. But they could've worked on a better plot with their soap opera scenes.

Scene 1: Wesker's / Umbrella's Facility being taken down.

Scene 2: Arcadia's truth - Getting out of the Prison

Scene 3: Wesker showdown on the ship; finding out the truth behind Umbrella.

I think the plot was too rushed, but whatever, I've seen Resident Evil 4 like 17 times and still going...it's my favorite movie of all time (or most watched anyways, it never gets old).
