She lost out to PJ Harvey for the Mercury Prize as well
She was never going to win it, but I do think she deserved it more than Polly. But then, there were other albums nominated which deserved it more than Adele.

Not surprising. Amy lost it, so I knew Adele would lose.

Her commercial success hurt her. Back to Black is a masterpiece to many.
On another note, I noticed that Adele's plays on last.fm went up since last week, and RITD and SLY saw huge gains.
