It's the MTV Vma's. Not the damn Grammy's.

I'm not sure that she's raised the bar with this performance in particular, considering how it's been near-universally panned. Even though I personally enjoyed her and her Jo Calderone persona (minus a few moments throughout the show), practically everyone else thought she went too far with this. If anything, future VMA performances might become tamer so as not to irk people even further with more "gimmicks".

The only real iconic performance was Brit Madge and X.

Was I the only one not impressed by that entire charade? Her performances from a year ago were better.

Who exactly was annoyed by her in drag? Brit stans? Homophobes? I'd like to know. I don't know anyone who "had had enough" of Jo.

As far as celebrities go, everyone who has voiced their opinion praised Gaga and called it an Oscar worthy performance. Everyone in the audience seemed to love it, and insiders go as far as naming everyone from Adele to Katy Perry as stars who were impressed by Gaga's performance. Even Jessica Alba tweeted that she gave her a standing ovation from her couch. Many reviewers called it the best performance of the night and again repeated the same thing about it being Oscar worthy.

She raised the bar, sit the **** down and deal.

vma's have been disappointing the past couple years. imo, now they are the least important award for me. i'd rather an AMA, Billboard award, Grammy ... those.

ok whatever, but still they aren't really considered that important compared to the aforementioned awards show. i used to love gaga for the fame/the fame monster. then with her new album, i realized she is just overrated and can't outdo the fame series (: but i like judas and kinda the edge of glory. but nothing compared to poker face and bad romance and telephone right? so don't flame me cuz i'm not being mean.

I'm not flaming. I find all that a bit weird to be honest, there are some other amazing songs on BTW the album. I like it way more than The Fame....but everyone is entitled to their opinion of course.
