It looks cool. Hopefully it will be the album version, not the Missy Elliott remix.

I don't really see it either, she's not regular pop, it's abit more driven and her style is abit alternative but that doesn't suggest she's trying to be something she's not to me. Oh well though, different strokes, she's no where near as fake seeming as Duff though at least.

Lol I'm anything but naive when it comes to fashions - I have everything from decadent sequined gowns to safari suits to chinese coats, indian couture, to gothic, victorian, biker, cyber and business suits in extensive fabrics, colours and styles. That means I know that image can mean a number of things, dressing one way doesn't mean you subscribe to any type of trend (which shows I agree that dressing that way doesn't make her a rocker or a punk) and that it doesn't mean you are trying to either. I think she is just a little grittier then generic pop but still pop and that is fine for her, it's her comfort zone, I don't think she is trying to be any thing else or more then that based on her image alone. If she is trying to sound that way in her music then fine, I'm not commenting on that because I haven't heard the latest but I'm just talking about her image.
I also don't think you have to stick to associated styles of image and clothing to genres of music to show who you are and it's sad that if a person tries to look another way then what is usual or expected of that genre or profession or whatever that they are posers. Yes, there are posers and people pretending to be what they are not all in all different walks of life not just music but it usually takes more then just looks to do that, usually bluffing through the knowledge of that area and trying to seem a part of it and be accepted by those 'in' it etc but to be fair there are also plenty of newbies to everything who are just trying to learn and see what they like too. Then there's the point that it's just clothes/accessories etc big deal, why is there so much angst in rock, indie, alternative and metal about people trying to be those things when they're not? People wear what comes into fashion all the time or try out different styles, that doesn't mean they're trying to be like the people where those clothes came from or practise parts of their cultures. It's just clothes, looks, trends, images whatever, there's far too much possessiveness over styles associated with certain types of music.
Oops forgot to add: sorry I disappointed, can't please all the time as long as the good outweighs the bad eh and hopefully by a lot

Then Asslee is a poser extraordinaire because that bitch is constantly wear shirts with the Ramones and other 'legendary' rock bands on them and chances are that bitch never heard of them before her stylist bought it at a posh vintage store. She's always wearing things with 'i have cred' written all over it.
She used to dress like Paris Hilton before her record deal then overnight she became a 'rocker chick' because her label execs. felt they could sell her music better if she 'looked the part'. In certain circomstances making assumptions isn't unreasonable, Pandora. And a girl who is a clog in a massive corporate machine with a wall of publists, stylists, producers all scheming and calculating to make a buck is one of those circumstances.
And trust me I have no problem with people having diverse taste but the odds are not stacked in Ashlee's favor. So what ev's.

Wow, come forth the angst and bitterness. I think it's so unecessary about something so frivolous. You could very definitely be right in this situation, but like I was saying from what I know of her it hardly makes an impact as a poser. I never said it was unreasonable to judge in certain circumstances, I just think it's nonsensical to propel it without actual knowledge, probability is one thing, facts are another. She wears those shirts, fine, maybe she doesn't know who they are, maybe she's only just found out after being influenced by all those stylists and actually decided that she does like them - yes it must seem annoying to those who knew much earlier about them and didn't need 'help', but hey, everyone starts somewhere. Always wearing things with 'I have cred' on them - ah well that's something I brought up before - credentials to whom is more like it. The majority of celebs wear clothes that say just that to different people, but, whereas some celebs try to pretend they absolutely adore the pillars of fashion like Versace and Channel which gives creds to higher echelons whereas others try to be cool to the more chic youthful levels of couture such by following designers like G Squared or Custo - people don't care how much other celebs suck up to other styles when they might not be associated with those images or cultures at all. Whereas when it comes to rock/punk/alternative/nu-metal/metal etc it seems to matter a whole lot. What is it, a threat to the purity and right of the ones who really know what they're talking about or know more about the subject? If she started going on like Amy Lee did way back when about Evanescence's music being new and unique etc when obviously she had no clue then that would be something and yes, it would be angering, laughable and more reason to be dislike her as a 'poser'. But so far she hasn't said anything particularly insulting has she? I personally just think it takes more then image to say what a person is or what they are not.
Plenty of people judge me on the way I look every single day, the amount of **** from stupid ignorant, egotistical and self obsessed people is ridiculous - I get people thinking I'm weak, stupid, more stupid, bitch, *****, vain, ugly, something that constitutes laughing at or being rude to, or on the flipside, a happy smiley cheerful person, bubbly and loves pink, cutsie etc and when it comes down to it, I'm none of those things (except the pink ) and when people see me in goth they think i'm a natural vamp looker and would never think I like pop and when people see in gorgeously cute outfits they don't think I like metal. Now I know this is a different case to Ashlee, I'm just saying that from my perspective on the way people behave based on appearances, I really don't see what the fuss is about if someone decides to use an image (looks not politics ) even if it's not them especially if it's not to the extreme and with other factors, they could do far worse things that would justafiably constitute spite against them.
