I'm scared of the era ending to soon. Just like both previous eras. It always ends with us heart broken because there was one or two songs that didn't get released as singles.
I really did not want you&i to be a single so I'm sure ill be happy with WHATEVER she chooses after this- because i love every song on BTW my least fav song was you&i and THAT was released so if i could live through that i could live through anything. I would DIE for government hooker, electric chapel, or scheisse. but im not getting my hopes up. at all.
She doesn't have a super hit on the album apart from Born this way.
But from what's left, Hair is an amazing song, but got lots of flaws. It's too overproduced and comes up as noisy.
Marry The Night on the other hand doesn't suffer from overproduction or noisiness except for the last 30 seconds or so, so it's a solid choice.
Scheiße has a very weak chorus, I don't know why fans keep insisting on it being a single.
Same goes for HML which is also overproduced and her voice is overprocessed on it
Highway Unicorn is a great song, but suffers same flaws as HML, overproduced sound and overprocessed vocals.
What else?
GH & Bloody Mary? Bad choice imo. GH is too dark and rather unpleasant with lots of screaming. BM is like a halloween song and it's also touching on religious themes. It will be Judas 2.0 without the digital support and overall a bad career move.
Americano is plain annoying and the remaining of the tracks are very weak.
Verdict: Release Hair and MTN in any order and then wrap it up.
