Max has been around for over 15 years. He can adapt to basically any current trend and make it fresh (atleast initally).

Dr. Luke is nothing compared to him.

They both have their ups and downs, but Max Martin, simply because his work is a tad less generic, and he produced Criminal.

I dont know if it's possible to say one is better/more talented than the other.

I think Max is perhaps a little more versatile, at least in recent years. Luke is very skillful when it comes to creating a pristine mixdown, in fact, I'd say he's better at it than just about everyone in the industry. (In particular, I think most productions from both Garibay and RedOne tend to sound a bit messy. Generally, their work is over-compressed, or just incredibly muddy because it's crammed full of so many elements.)
