First of all, the book was well over 700 pages, so your "400+" estimate is way off the mark. Siince when was this pg-13 movie a "little kid movie." Sure, the movies are about portraying, or as you said "seeing," major plot events. Did I say I wanted them to "duplicate" each paragraph? Nope. I just don't like how they cut SO much out it was IMPOSSIBLE to follow for us normal people who have not read the book 10 ****ing million times. The storyline was jumpy and had no flow.
And, I don't know what to say about your last sentence. Obviously I understood the plot of the actual book. That is why I was so dissatisifed with this trainwreck of a movie. I don't see how not liking a movie makes me a baby. At all. Seriously man.

Like I said before, I am a tough rater. I give this movie a B.
Good: the humor, the pictures, and the sifi-effect.
Bad: First, Same old 'harry, harry, harry...." is the man. SEcond, Every movie/book, they (him and his friends) have to deal with danger, and at the end, none of them losing a leg, an arm, an eye, or whatever, they all are in perfect condition. Oh and the dance look kinna stupid.

I still have to get round to seeing this movie, it's tough because I want to go in the day time during the week so that it's mildy peaceful at least. I should have a day off next week, so I look forward to it.

I saw it on Sunday, I think it was the best one yet and did justice to the calibre of the first one by using hte same tone but evolved. The second one was somewhat tacky in production, very Hollywood blockbuster like, the third was just awful for me but this one was excellent. It flowed really well from fast sequences to slower ones and back again allowing for breathers and unlike the third you wouldn't be confused if you hadn't read the book. This one did have references to past ones like the Polyjuice potion but it was much more understandable for both book/film fans and just film fans. The only things I didn't like were down to the writing though and that's Rowling's fault and it gets progressively worse in the following books, but purely from the film, I was very impressed except the shot of Harry getting into the bath, I thought 'he's abit too young for that' - they should of layed off the kid's chest.
It was the best adapted version for me, the only thing I missed was Dobby giving Harry the gillyweed rather then Neville.

OMG, that was so, so SO good. I finally saw it...I didn't have huge expectations as I don't read the books anymore nor remember if I read the 4th or not. I liked the last one though.
Wayy beyond my expectations though. Blown away. Best one yet.
