Beyonce could benefit from the announcement of her pregnancy on the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28. Her most recent album, "4," might jump back into the top 10 with perhaps a 40% sales increase. The set could sell anywhere between 30,000 and 40,000 copies by week's end on Sept. 4. Beyonce's Video Music Award performance of "Love on Top" will also likely debut on Digital Songs and Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The most recent tracking week ended on Sunday night, so the bulk of the VMA impact will be felt next week.
Last week, "4" fell 9-12 (21,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan; down 17%) in its ninth chart week -- moving out of the top 10 for the first time since its debut. The set debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in July. If "4" gains next week, it will be the first time the album has posted a weekly sales increase since its arrival.
