LFN is her 2nd biggest radio hit this era, already 6 weeks #1 on pop radio. Radio isn't the problem. She has sold many digital downloads, album is just overexposed to general public. That's the problem.
Just look at LFN...already out of Top 20 and barely 2x Platinum. She needs a re-release.

What I was thinking, was more or less, that considering the (forgive me) "last minute remix" thing, I think it's clear that the album is overexposed. Was Katy at #1 on pop before the remix? Perhaps the only reason she reached the summit was the hype (limited) for the remix?
One might also say that LFN
should have done better than E.T. due to the momentum that she had reached with it. That and LFN is truly, a perfect pop song (that I'm sick of, due to overplaying it when the album released and then hearing it on the radio everywhere).
I think releasing another single from TD would then follow up with weaker airplay. The only way I can kind of compare it would be like in terms of GaGa, "LoveGame," or "Alejandro."
Both are great songs (to me) and they under-performed in comparison to the prior singles released from their prospective eras. To me, it's more of an Alejandro situation. GaGa was at her peak when Telephone was out. She was much more huge than anyone else, and because of that she released Alejandro because she was at liberty to do whatever she wanted to. Alejandro, while a great song, didn't click as well as the prior smashes, and because of that and the over-saturation that she experienced it performed less than stellar in comparison.
Hummingbird Heartbeat is a great song, and would have made a great single, but I think it's too late to release it (due to the over-saturation that she's experienced).
I like Peacock, but I think it has a higher burnout rate than Hummingbird Heartbeat (despite being arguably more catchy, I suppose).
Thoughts?
