Katy is a very fake girl though, and it upsets me to see her do the things she does. The only person she seems to be genuine with is Russell, and even then it seems like she's only real in private with him.

I don't get this. If someone's doing better than me, I'm not gonna be mad at them for that, I will be proud of their success. It's my own failing if I can't ascend to their level for whatever reason.
Unless Gaga's done/said something unfavorable to Katy that we don't know of, her snide attitude towards her seems completely unnecessary.

I don't know. I get a "this bitch..." vibe from Katy whenever she's around Gaga these days. Something seems quite off about her. In fact seeing them together ALWAYS reminds me of this picture:
