It's not the same actually. Gaga brought attention to herself through her gimmicks and no one else important really did anything at the VMAs. This year you had Britney tribute ads and Gaga ads ect. But I don't remember seeing a Katy ad and if she did have one it wasn't shown as much as Gaga. Thats my point. Katy wasn't an important factor since the beginning. Last year Gaga being on of the few A list celebs showing up, it was her year to shine. May I add you could tell Katy tried to use Gaga's formula from last year. Those outfits and that cube cheese on her head was an attempt, it didn't work because no one was here for that.
