And most likely they were snubbed because the whole Trinity had videos out and getting them all together in the same room = more viewers.

People use the word snubbed so loosely. In order to be snubbed, you would have to deserve recognition in the first place. Mind you, this is the VIDEO music awards. None of Ke$ha's videos have been super memorable in any way. They're cute party videos but they're very easily forgettable. I can't really remember anything from any of her videos this era. They're fun but the best? No. Same with Rihanna, all of her videos have been boring, have minimal to zero concept and consist almost entirely of beauty shots and posing. What makes that deserving of an award for best video?

The only one even remotely deserving this era would be Man Down and the best shot that had was for "Best vid with a Message". It takes more than just filming a video or your song being big for it to be deserving of an award

Neither of those girls were snubbed.

Why do people keep saying Rihannas was majorly snubbed and then say Ke$ha wasn't and didn't even deserve a nom?

Ke$ha had three videos, Take It Off, We R Who We R & Blow. Four, if u count the two different versions of Take It Off. She at least deserved to be recognized somewhere.

Only Girl, Whats My Name, & California King Bed were just ok videos, predictable, done before, not worthy of being awarded, at all. S&M and Man Down on the other hand were robbed, but I don't see them as being any better than Blow or Take It Off.

Dead @ People thinking Ke$ha deserved to be even invited and that's the real shade. Ke$ha always goes home empty handed at award shows.. so this was no new tea to me.

She wasn't snubbed. Neither of her videos this era made any impact.... Rihanna was the one who got the short end of the stick.

But then again Rihanna and JLO were both snubbled extremely this year as well.

Yes, NOTHING else happened in that video. Just the chair scene.

Because her contenders were too strong to compete with. If Gaga, Bey, and Britney had nothing out right now then Kesha would have been an obvious shoe-in. However, Kesha doesn't bring the same star power to her videos (which are nothing special). Probably next year I'd expect Kesha to get more nominations.

Rihanna was snubbed, and I do think there was room for at least one nomination for her.
