And so will Walk The Line. Strong word of mouth is going to lead WTL to another strong weekend.
Not ONE of the new movies will seriously challenge HP in the slightest. Rent and Yours, Mine And Ours both look sensationally crappy, as does In The Mix. The Ice Harvest doesn't appeal to nearly enough people. Just Friends looks decent, but just because it looks decent doesn't mean it will be decent..which leaves Pride And Prejudice. I've heard it's a fantastic adaptation of the book to film, but I really doubt it'll do anything.
Out of those, i'd say YM&O will do the "best", but "best" is like 15 Mil. I see Rent flopping and the others not doing much of anything.
But come on, really. No movie is going to come within 50-60 million of Goblet Of Fire this Thanksgiving Weekend.
