What she did this year was all about how the performance NEVER ENDS. Its forever.
People expected her to just jump out of jo and get back into gaga but thats not how it works that wouldnt make sense. She was absolutely flawless even falling off the piano added character to the performance and Jo.
I'm happy she didn't come dressing in a bunch of wacky outfits again this year because with everyone else doing it IT KILLS IT. I love nicki minaj but what she wore made a mockery out of what gaga does. and dont get me started with that random block of cheese sitting on katy perrys head. Gagas outfits connect to her performance and have artistic expression and meaning behind them- covering yourself in a bunch of teddybears like an attention ***** means nothing. Its just sad to see people doing a very shallow hollow version of what gaga does but its ok at the same time because gaga came as a MAN and connected that to her performance AND pushed the boundaries of where a performance starts and ends so in the end she out-did EVERYONE IN EXISTENCE.
Her speech was too long, but it was all really good. Jo was a character, and Gaga played him beautifully. None of the other girls could do it to that extent. A memorable performance
Neither. It wasn't creepy to me, but it wasn't the best thing I've ever seen. She was however, very funny and that's what made it enjoyable to me. The act would've been a flop if she took herself too seriously, though.
And I'll forever be baffled by why people get so huffy and scream "pretentious" whenever anything is referred to as "art."
A whole ****ton of things constitute art. It may be bad art, or at least poorly executed, but it still is what it is. It's a categorization, not an inherent virtue.
It made me feel weird because I felt like I was getting ripped off since Gaga was no where to be found. My brain refused to register Jo as Gaga, so the entire time, I was just like, "What the Hell, where is my Gaga?" I guess that means it was brilliant.
