Exactly,there are A LOT of things both jive and britney should be doing but they dont. It's obvious jive wanted bfb as the 3rd single, they let fans vote, iwg won and became her biggest airplay hit. Fans do know better than labels and the artist sometimes

On the other hand, who is the music for? The fans. Without the fans, the artist is nothing. If the fans want something as a single and the artist keeps ignoring them repeatedly, the fans will be turned off. They'll feel like their favorite doesn't care. So fan input is needed at times.

Sometimes, the artist will be too egotistical to notice that the career is headed in a not so successful direction. The fans serve to keep that person in check. Back when Madonna released Erotica and the sex book, she really thought she was strong enough to push that sort of stuff on her fans. Many of the singles of that album flopped and she received SO much backlash that she had to change her image. Yeah the book is worth lots now, but back then it was blasphemy. I remember that era well because I stanned for Madonna but also stopped after this album. Her fans let her have it. It isn't what they wanted.

And you need to stop making mountains out of molehills. NObody's trying to be psychiatrists or claim to know about management. People here are simply giving an opinion. JUST AN OPINION. Simply because one is not an artist or label manager does not mean they cannot offer their two cents. Ignore it if it's really bothering you.

She needs a new promotion team

I find fans don't usually know the big picture. Or even a part of it.

What we get most of the time is the end result. We don't see the calls being made, the buddying up to radio DJs, deals being made with companies for endorsements, none of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. The promotion side itself is huge and the regular fan simply doesn't know about how that side works. It's easy to see NO work, but when it's working its because it was set in motion months before.

All the wannabe experts need to try and succeed first in the business they think they're such amazing experts at. Then maybe they'd shut up. However, they have no motivation and would rather eat cheese puffs on the couch and watch reality shows. claiming they know what should have been done.

Ugh, they drive me crazy. Live a little. TRY and do what you claim you know so well first and I might do more than scroll past the comment of slap Ignore. There's a reason why you're on your couch and THEY'RE hired to record labels.
