It really depends on the show. I remember it did good for Chris Brown, but I guess anybody would have done well during the year of Gimme More.

They can; the show does very well in the teen and 18-49 demographic.
After the show in '09, Paparazzi jumped 170% (172,165 vs. 63,673) and the album jumped 76% (33,255 vs. 18,857).
