Welcome back! First of all, a couple of quick notes:
1) The Flashback has officially been replaced by the Blokk Classic. From now on, the beginning of every Blokk video will feature a tune that was once on the Blokk. This week's Classic, for example, is Vampire Weekend's "Cousins", a song primarily remembered now as the first song to try (and fail) to push Muse's "Resistance" out of the #1 spot before THAT song went on to break the #1 record.
2) 30-21 has received one special distinction: Whenever a song debuts below the top 30, that song will now be recognized as such. Hey, maybe I'll even provide stats for 30-21 eventually!
Last week, of course, Foster the People took #1 away from the Paramonster. But the road to retaining that #1 spot won't be easy. Red Fang and Volbeat are right on their tail...and lurking in the shadows is a song that could make the top of the countdown extremely cloudy with a chance of rain. See what I did there?...you don't? Okay, time for a bit of a confession. Or two (hundred).
1) I'm still updating the Blokk, even if I'm not posting them online.
2) I have not been updating the Pop 10. At all. And I'm not sure if I will again. Why? Well, partly because of school (as always), but also...
3) Because I'm thinking about doing a countdown combining both the Blokk and Pop 10. I'm leaning toward making it a monthly countdown as opposed to a weekly, simply because I just don't have all that much to update my countdown anymore. To compensate, however, the amount of songs on the possible first new countdown is 40. So, basically, you're looking at two Blokk of Rokks, only if you add non-rock songs to the equation. And it would be on YouTube as well!
So yeah, it's looking a lot like everything is about to change all over again with me. Stay tuned...and if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears.
PS: Just for ***** and giggles, here's the two Blokks that I have NOT posted! The first one has stats, but not the second Blokk.
