Seriously, you have to embrace your flop threads.

Most people seem to think you always have to seem relevant. Others just... make threads to make threads.

Some are really reaching, which are obviously just trying to make hit threads

If this becomes a hit thread, I'm gonna die.

When I had twitter I had 5 hundred and would get 70 people for like one minute. In the end it doesn't account for much. lol

I agree. But like Hiphy said it helps prevent extra threads. And there is a build up of discussion. There should really be one person who makes one thread for everything connected to the video. It's too much to have a thread for when they shoot it, who directed it, the artist talking/ tweeting about it, the teaser, and the official.

What I don't understand is people creating album threads like 2 years in advance?

Aw, I hate when people try to contribute to the board but get paid dust because they aren't popular. I know how they feel.

A hit thread because of a big artist's new video or exclusive news doesn't say much about the OP, while a hit thread with your own original content (an interesting discussion topic in The Lounge or an intelligent poll in the Polls section) should be much more highly valued. Bitches that can not come up with any interesting ideas of their own have to comfort themselves with hit threads about big artists that they were just lucky to be able to post quicker than others

The thought just occurred to me that I don't thing I've ever started a thread on this forum.

I don't understand why some members want hit threads so bad. You're not going to get money or a prize of having a hit thread.

I don't care if my threads ends up flopping or does not have enough views or replies. Who cares.

Its not always about the prize or the money... seeing that your discussion topic really spawned an intelligent/entertaining discussion can be quite rewarding. I have a hard time believing people when they say that they don't care if their threads go completely unnoticed.
