Rihanna doesn't appear to be very gay-friendly in my view. Firstly, she comes from Barbados. Barbados is a very homophobic country with a poor track record on gay rights. You'd think that someone like Rihanna would use her celebrity status to criticize Barbados's gay rights record. She's failed to do so as far as I know.
Also, I've never heard her come out in support of gay marriage in New York. Other performers have done so. Rihanna doesn't appear to support gay marriage as far as I can tell.
Also, her very image is very sleazy and designed to appeal to the type of men who don't like gay guys.
Message to Rihanna: we've worked you out, honey. As for her gay fans, you'd be stupid to support her.

Just because someone doesn't flamboyantly support gay rights ala Gaga, doesn't mean they're homophobic.
She's spoken out against discrimination many times, and she has stated that she supports gay rights.
Keep in mind that Rihanna's image is very tacky and designed to appeal to sleazy straight guys of the type who don't like gay men. She's not gay-friendly in my view. Thank goodness she's being exposed.

I think she's pretty neutral on the gays, honestly. Sure, she doesn't come out in clear support of them, but she doesn't hate on them at all, like a LOT of Carribean artists do.

Ohmygod. I shouldn't have even wasted my time replying to this thread.
Rihanna has failed to put any male-male sensuality in her music videos. She avoids it in my opinion.
Also, why is Rihanna connected to Def Jam, a company that has a record of supporting anti-gay artists? Rihanna's made the choice to stick with a homophobia-supporting record label.
