What are your thoughts on death penalty? Yes? No?

I just read an article where a nineteen year old teen, Deryl Dedmon, could possibly face death penalty (for hate crime, randomly killing a black person). I mean... Should there be a death penalty? And if so, should there be an age limit? Because imo, 19 is still really young. And what about stories you hear where teenagers (up to 15) are committing murder? Do they deserve death penalty too?

Also, what happens if you later find out the person you sent to death row was actually innocent? I know people are going to say "I support death penalty ONLY if they're 100% sure they committed the crime" but accidents can happen.

100% against it. If you can't see the wrongness in killing someone as a punishment for them killing someone, then the world really is ****ed.

It's a hypocritical thing, but on the other hand it saves money (as horrible as that sounds..).

We are nothing and no one to judge who lives or who dies.

Though sometimes it really makes me think about it.

They should put all these people on a remote island with some protection and let them "survive" there, we all know how it's gonna end, so...

The death penalty is hypocritical and it's too often mistakenly given to undeserving people. I think it's something like 3% of people given the death penalty were later found to be innocent. Smh.

I'm against it, it's something stupid, if you're going to punish someone who killed a person by killing him.. then other people should kill you cuz you just killed someone... and the circle never ends.
