Well ... Gordita , Rabiosa WTF! I don't care if it isn't generic , it's just not into Shakira's style , I accept that an artist can renew its style , but it's not the way. I like lots of songs from that album ,but the merengue's ones screw it up a bit , except Addicted To You.

I agree, it's a hit or miss. Some fans like it, some fans don't like it. Unfortunately, she can't please everyone, but she tries to!

She's currently in Spain with her boyfriend. It's reported that she's coming back to the states at the end of August to finish recording tracks for her upcoming album. I'm waiting till Sony/Shakira confirms what she is recording for. Whether it's for her 8th studio album or a compilation album!

Shakira has African rhythms on the new album. According to DJ Venus X, which previously had given an interview about his work with Shakira, the Colombian singer has already "a lot of material".
While Shakira is still at an early stage to discover new rhythms, Venus says that X has sent "a lot of material, such as Turkish reggae, African rhythms and kuduro."
