Katy wouldn't have time to perform though.
She'd be busy on stage, accepting the awards she wins and stuff. It's like how Gaga didn't have time to perform last year, she was busy accepting awards.
Plus, isn't TGIF the last single from TD-era? What does she have to plug, now that it hit #1?

There are rumors of her wanting to release Peacock as the final installment, but Capitol wants a rerelease with a few more singles. They're discussing it right now.

To be honest, I doubt very much they'll get that all ready in time.
Unless it's already decided, I doubt we'll be seeing Katy perform.
Ugh, Katy shouldn't do a re-release. Not even an 8-song EP.
She should disappear after her tour, and come back with a huge bang November 2012.

I don't think she's going to perform. It seems like MTV is trying to spread the attention out between Gaga, Britney, and Katy. Gaga with the opening performance, Britney with the tribute, and Katy with the wins. They're doing what they can to bring in those ratings.

Just saw the commercial, you and SHICD are right. She's going to make an appearance, meaning she'll just attend I'm guessing.

Exactly.
If my predictions are correct, Katy is looking at 5 award wins. 2 of which will actually be on stage (I'm thinking 2 technical + Collabo. Last year Collabo was done during the pre-show, so I assume it'll be done that way this year as well). She'll be accepting VOTY (obviously) and BPV. BFV is going to Gaga, unless it's rigged (which it could be).
So, Katy simply won't have time to put together a performance. If she would want to make it a big one, she certainly wouldn't have time to do all the costume changes either.
That being said: How ****ing insane would it be if Katy did a medley of all 5 of her hits?

Thia seems the most realistic. However wouldn't Adele be a threat to both of them? Even though she just sits in a chair the entire video, the song itself is huge and the video has about 100 million views.  I mean I like Adele, but...

Remember how last year, California Gurls was a huge hit and when it was nominated against Gaga everyone was worried, because CG was such a huge hit?
Katy will win against Adele, especially if the show is rigged. It probably is tbh. That's how Gaga won 8 (EIGHT) awards.

Basically, the voting that we do is completely disregarded, and the awards are given out by the choice of the MTV producers.
It seems like that's the case to be honest.

sorry to interrupt, but i thought MTV was not very happy of Gaga winning everything ? and because of winning so much, she can't perform also .. It is just what i heard from some forums and friends ..
