This ****ery has been going on for too long. I think people need to realize some of the words being used on this site are just outrageous. It neeeeeeeds to end.
So, what words should never be used on ATRL again or just needs to be corrected by some morons?
I have a few in particular.
QUEEN OF POP. Bitches, Michelle Williams is not the Queen of Pop. Kat DeLuna is not the Queen of Pop. The Far East Movement is not the Queen of Pop. I swear, every person in the book has been called the Queen of Pop on this site and there is only about 2 legitimate candidates for that title and those who differ in opinion on those two will NEVER try to negotiate. So, it needs to end. Call them your Queen. The Queen of the Charts. The Queen of Singles. Queen of Albums. But the most universally accepted measure is that Madonna is the Queen of Pop, because she has been here for decades, the best selling female artist, everything under the sun.
THE TRINITY. I see a thread about this every three weeks and it drives me insane. The trinity is opinion-based. It's as mythical as Kelly Rowland opening with 100k copies sold. It does not exist, and you can try to prove it all you want to, but there's always a weakness that makes them unable to be in the trilogy. Rihanna: #1 albums and CKB/Man Down. Gaga: Amazon, said to be trying to hard, and said to be gimmicky. Beyonce: Run The World. Britney: Less than stellar album sales. Katy Perry: Less than stellar album sales and said to be desperate for #1s. Adele: Said to be way too new in terms of being only massively popular for half a year to really be defined in a long term scale. Ke$ha: Album sales. Xtina: Sorry to Xtina fans, but Bionic as a whole. Everyone else's faves don't really count.
Everyone's faves has their bad side and it will haunt them. Therefore, to say your fave (
INCLUDING MINE.) is in the Trinity when they're so damn flawed and have their weaknesses.. no. Just no.
Ones I want people to LEARN BEFORE USING:
FLOP. Judas does not flop when it hits the top 10. Rehab by Rihanna does not flop when it hits top 20. That's not how it works, guys.
Please learn to master the use of this word before talking about a song or album.
SMASH. A certain individual of the Xtina stanbase once called You Lost Me a "#1 smash." It went #1 on Hot Dance Club Songs.
Did not chart on the Hot 100. Once again. Please learn to master the use of this word.
TRUE TEA. NONONONONONO. Nobody spilled any ****ing tea just cause they stated common knowledge and made no point whatsoever. So stop right there and sit down, you can start using that word when you're not throwing it around like a hooker does with her innocence.
DRAG. You did not drag that person just cause you proved an irrelevant point. So shut the hell up and sit with the same person who thought you spilled the tea.
