Currently, I am 18 years old and iv been a stan of Britney Spears since 2000 (Oops Era) and for whatever reason, i get picked on by my friends for being a stan. Then yesterday outta curiousity, i kindly asked a few of my friends why they hate Britney and they all said "I Really Dunno".
I come on atrl everyday to get updated on Britney News and i see either a beyonce stan or a Gaga stan saying mean stuff about Britney. Why???

Do you hate her for having a successful carreer, Stuff that happened in 07 or what?? Atleast, when you hate her, you should have a good enough reason and i'd gladly appreciate it if you can give a good enough reason for your hate towards britney coz iam sick and tired of seeing ****** stuff being said about Our Queen!! - FJ

I love her, but I wanna hear why people don't..

She's been through a lot, and I'm thinkin' it's because she under performs when she's capable of so much more.

people think she doesnt deserve her success, I LOVE HER, its so easy to stan for current artists, when they are doing good, but no one knows what a real stan is until you stan for someone who's been through something like she has.

People only hate Britney Spears because they're confused. Only logical explanation.

People don't like her music, or they want her to "stop being so sexual", but I don't get any other reasons

You have to be a damn weak ass person to HATE someone you don't even know. They attack Britney because it's the cool thing to do. Successful people are always dragged by insecure people.

I had this friend who "hates" Britney, always makes fun of her, calls her a ****, etc. (of course I drag her). Anyways, 3 months later, I found out that Freakshow is her 4th most played song on iTunes, she knows the lyrics to Circus, Stronger and all the Britney classics. Then she goes on about how she liked the "old" Britney" - when discreetly she pops her ***** to I Wanna Go and many post-breakdwon Britney tracks.

Everybody at least loves 1 Britney Spears song.

Who hates her? People may not like her music, but that's far from hating. Getting teased because you like her isn't hating. People used to tease me for liking Beyoncé, and that's probably because I enjoy her music more than her appearance. It happens. Some artists just aren't everyone's cup of tea. I wanna say more (and I did, but it got cut), but I'll wait.

I love Britney

I can understand dislike for her music, but I just don't get how anyone could dislike, much less hate, her as a person.

i don't hate her bu i guess is because she lip-synchs and she doesn't have all the control over her image and her music is too generic

People are taking 'hate' to literal, y'all know you are constantly hating on her. Anyways, people dislike her because they see her as a 'robot'.

It's no different than the backlash against Lady GaGa. I personally don't care for much of her music (although I do believe Blackout is one of the best pop albums released this millenium) but I don't hate her. I feel like with her last couple of releases she's just following the trend of electronic pop music, whereas with Blackout/In the Zone she was the one leading the pack.
