Which 3 young ladies rule Hollywood? Which ladies will have future prominent careers? I'm only choosing ladies in Hollywood under 40. Meryl Steep, Susan Sarandon, Julie Andrews, and Helen Mirren are already legendary. Nicole Kidman + Julia Roberts + Halle Berry + Sandra Bullock + Rachel Weisz +Julianne Moore are over 40. I'm only choosing A List actress. In order to participate you really have to know your movie history and be knowledgeable about actresses.

Anyone placing Emma Stone and Mila Kunis as one of the 3 best young actresses of today

Didn't realize you wanted a ranking.

1. Hilary - until another bitch can win 2 lead actress Oscar wins, she will stay on top.
2. Charlize - her roles Monster and North Country alone are enough to place her at #2
3. Angelina - Lisa in Girl, Interrupted is still one of my favorite movie characters of all-time.
4. Michelle Williams - her role in Blue Valentine confirmed her as utterly amazing.
5. Natalie Portman - her acting in The Other Boleyn Girl was amazing, and her Black Swan Oscar was well-deserved
6. Kate Winslett - amazing, no explanation needed.
7. Kimberly Elise- the fact that she hasn't even been NOMINATED for an Academy Award is so saddening and shows how out of tune and racist the voters are. She should have a minimum of 3 nominations in my book. Not exactly sure of her age, but even if over 40, she deserves 100x more recognition than she's received.
8. Thandie Newton - same as Kimberly.

Anna Hathaway is overrated and belongs on no list.

Minus her one good role in Rachel Getting Married, what has she done other than play the same basic, no-range characters that any other 20-something Hollywood starlet can do? She's a rom-com actress with one good hit. Far from the acting elite.

Edit: And don't mention BBM, because my good sis Michelle acted Anne's ass off the screen and into the pits so effortlessly.

I was just going to say BBM. She also did an amazing job in "The Devil Wears Prada'
She really knocked it out of the park in Havoc, IMO.

I don't watch straight-to-video movies, so I wouldn't know.

And Devil Wears Prada was strictly Queen Streep's movie. Anne could've been replaced by any other hoe in the game in that film.

Anne Hathaway is a good actress. I think she'll be a better Catwoman than any of her predecessors. She's a versatile actress, obviously her strength are comedies.

I'm not doubting that she's a good actress, but I wouldn't ever dare to consider her one of the greats. The 8 I listed, plus many other under the age of 40, out-act the hell out of her.

I just came to the realization that the majority of Hollywood's leading ladies are boring and bland.

Most of them I can't even tell apart.

By the way, I agree Kimberly Elise is a great actress. She was the best thing about "For Colored Girls"

Kimberly Elise is incredible. But she's become another victim of the plight of the Negroid actress and how hard it is for them to get in the game. She surpasses many of the women listed in this thread in terms of talent and training, yet is relegated to Tyler Perry films and bit-roles on television dramas.
