Good things:
The choreography slayed
She looks extremeley beautiful with the Black dress in the road.
The Jo/Gaga thing is cute

Bad things:
The Mermaid scene as a whole is just plain weird and doesn't fit
Why she had to mack suck weird video to such laid back song lol. I expected this kind of video for Bloody mary or Marry The Night (if they are ever going to be released)

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it: "This is a real Gaga video".

So the mermaid part makes sense now.

The video really is just filled with fantastic imagery. It's crazy. I'm really pleased with this, and I hope that the intro doesn't scare people away.

I'm pretty sure this is what it's about:

The guy falls in love with mermaid-ga, so he tries to change her into a human, but it doesn't work but he loves her anyway. Not all the parts of the video are part of the same storyline, I think...

I would say there is a storyline there, it just may take some repeated viewing to figure it out. I know people are saying BR has a clear storyline, and it does in retrospect, but when it first came out a lot of people were bewildered and there are still scenes that don't have an obvious connection to the main plot (like her coming out of the egg in the beginning).

At any rate, I mean, it's Gaga, so obviously it was going to have weird **** in it and the "plot" won't be clearcut. I suppose it can be fair game for criticism if you take issue with it, but nobody should be surprised by that at this point. I'd much rather her stick to that then try to go "conventional" for a conventional song and end up with a boring disaster of epic proportions like TEOG.

I loved the video, possibly her best work yet.
I'm sure after she explains it we'll get the story line better, but wow she blew me away with this masterpiece.
