Only Girl was only discounted to $0.99 for one weekend. Yes, the goal was the same but it was a simple, wise move. I have my opinions about the S&M Remix already; it was a mess.
I love promotion & most discounts. However, this is just too much for me. This song is already a #2, soon to be 2.5 million selling smash. These moves make the song look bad. Now both the remix & original are $0.69. Together that costs $1.38. It pretty much is buy one get one free.
Pathetic, and the same goes for all the other gerls and their labels slashing prices on their **** for filth. Whether it 99 cents, 59 cents or zero cents.
I mean. It's not like Only Girl, S&m Remix, LFN Remix and the discount were at all a fair way to reach number one.... no matter what way you put it. I just don't think everyone should think Katy is the only desperate popstar. A lot probably are. And all those things were done during songs peak to hit number one.

The Only Girl discount was 99 cents for two days. The S&M remix i'll give you but at least it was full price and the original was never discounted. If you can't see that this is beyond the already demonstrated label desperation of her contemporaries I really don't know what to tell you.
