That's about it. For a fifth single. It's not like she has performed the song a million times. She has hardly promoted the song, a fifth single, and still has at least a #2 single out of it.

Those are Mediabase numbers. Nielsen numbers are usually bigger than Mediabase ones for PRA. Not sure about LFN.

What was the last very close race? "Born This Way" vs. "E.T."?

Little things will probably make a difference in such a close race (i.e sales at other stores, streaming, and prayer ).

I remember S&M vs. ET was tight too.

Why you worring too much? Britney second single Till The World Ends had a remix with Ke$ha and Nicki and not even managed to be Top 2 on The Hot 100

TTWE didn't have any chance... and I bet the label was aware of that.

It wasn't priced at $0.69 though. That's probably why when you compare the 2.

It's not like TTWE was that close to #1. And it was a second single. So, we really can't compare. LFN is doing way, way better.

I think it will reach 5 million in less than 6 weeks. It should still be selling over 100K this week and the next couple weeks.

Party Rock Anthem also has substantial Latin airplay, and will easily close than 10M AI gap, and it will outsell LFN by more than 2K.

It'll be tough for LFN to hit #1. I will be glad if it happens, but I won't be surprised if it didn't.

These were the Mediabase AI totals for the last Hot 100:

Billboard's totals were:

Party Rock Anthem 146.7 (+6.3)

The Mediabase AI totals right now:

1. KATY PERRY - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.): 147.058 (+ 0.081)
2. LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem: 136.838 (- 0.292)

Using the same differences:

Last Friday Night 147.1 - 0.5 = 146.6
Party Rock Anthem 136.8 + 6.3 = 143.1

So Katy's AI lead is about 3.5 million with three more days to go. It should go up to about 5 million in those days. Which means LMFAO will have to sell 5K more. Personally I think Katy is the favorite right now to get the #1.
