They announced this a few months after Thank Me Later`s release. I remember first hearing about it when Drake confirmed he was recording a second album.
1: Weezy ain't overrated. Before you judge him, atleast listen to some 10-15 of his songs.
2: Jay-Z is good, but these days, Weezy is better then him.
3: Kanye West is a okey rapper, but so is Drake. So, Kanye = Drake, not Kanye >>>>> Drake.
4: Right now, Eminem is the king of Hip Hop/ Rap. Weezy is the prince.
Honestly, I've observed that people who like Kanye & Jay probably don't like Drake & Wayne and vice versa. I like all 4 but it really depends on the type of person you are. They each have a different style of rapping. You may favor one before another just for that reason, it doesn't mean they are wack or weak because they all are good rappers.

The problem with this is Drake. He is not nearly as established as Jay or Kanye, so this would not do as well.

It doesn't matter how far established Drake is all that matters is that he is good @ what he does which is making good music & that he has a big enough fan base to sell records & he does all that.
