Beyonce just won the Billboard Artist of the Decade award, critical appreciation for her album (the highest of all current pop divas), performances are getting raves (Glastonbury) and can still debut at number 1 with no real hit from an album. Her tour will also do exceptionally well, so she is one of the best, and is also trinity worthy.
Rihanna is only getting music success. Outside of that, she isn't winning any important awards, isn't getting critical acclaim for performances, isn't doing anything special, etc. She is selling albums, and getting singles success, but that's it

Let's be honest though, Britney's singles are local hits at best. She always brings in the tour receipts but so does Madonna and Celine. She has already cemented herself in pop culture. This current era is just fluff on top of her previous accomplishments. Why aren't they part of the Trinity too?
What exactly were the criteria for this Artist of the Decade award? Anything remotely tangible besides horny old farts wanting to get to the center of her Tootsie Pop? Critical appreciation can have little effect on the actual demand of the artist in question.
She's in demand now and millions of people check for her. I don't see how any of these other criteria are relevant without dragging in 39029837 other names.
