Femme Fatale Era vs the 4 Era
REVISITED
Who has experienced the most success so far this era?
Another casualty of a hot, but inconclusive discussion:

The Brit and Bey comparison makes perfect sense. They are on the same level career wise and have achieved similar, but at times, different accomplishments this era so far. Lets revisit this with a slightly less biased/messy outlook.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My formulaic ranking:
Album sales + rankings + longevity (30%):
Beyonce (7) vs Britney (5)
Single sales + rankings + longevity (25%):
Britney (8) vs. Beyonce (5)
Radio Impression (20%):
Britney (8) vs Beyonce (5)
YouTube views (15%):
Beyonce (7) vs Britney (6)
Overall Presence (10%):
Beyonce (9) vs Britney (5)
10 - Outstanding
9 - Excellent
8 - Very Good
7 - Good
6 - Average
5 - Below Average
4 - Bad

(Number ranking compared to the impressions of others in the industry such as Gaga, Adele, Katy, RIRI, etc.)
* Some receipts here:
http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?p=6560831#6560831
* We are in a day of age where people don't buy albums as much as singles, thus I weighted singles close to albums. Also, radio is weighted higher than video views because despite its declining presence, radio is still a central part of our music industry.
* Overall presence is like how much a celeb is "out there." Magazines, promo, performances, social networking, critical acclaim, awards, overall quality, talked about in public, etc.
* Promo isn't its own category because I believe the purpose of promo is to augment album and single sales, which is why both of these categories are #1 and #2, respectively.
* I left touring out for an equal comparison right now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Albums: Bey= 2.1 Brit= 1.5
Singles: Bey=1.25 Brit=2.0
Radio: Bey=1.0 Brit=1.6
Views: Bey= 1.05 Brit=.9
Presence: Bey=.9 Brit=.5
So this is where they stand
right now.
Total
Bey: 6.30
Brit: 6.50
REALLY CLOSE, but that's just my opinion. You can try for yourself by adjusting the rankings.
Bust out that calculator.
Example:
(.3) x (7) = 2.1
(.1) x (5) = .5
Obviously, each era could drastically change as we progress in the year; however, the purpose is to see who has had the most successful era thus far.
Let's not close this thread
AGAIN so keep it civil.
