So your saying it all comes down to Quality. Everyone (Including Hard Core fans) will only judge this movie based on how good its done. That's true, but just seeing Lucy and Renee back in their roles is my opinion. For ex. Alien Apocpsle** starring Bruce Campell and Renee was a bad movie. But I got the movie anyway because the two main characters were what made it good. If they weren't in this movie, I would have thrown it away. It all comes down to Quality and Actors/Actresses. I don't really know how to explain this, but has long has they are in it, Lucy/Renee fans would be happy. Locusts starring Lucy wasn't a hit, but every Xena fan loved that movie. How ironic. Vampire Bats will be the same I have a feeling. Your right about one thing, when they made the cartoon Xena/Hercules from the series Tv show, it angered many Herc/Xena fans because it was a disagrace of the Tv show. It didn't fit the series at all, like when Gabrielle was turned into a bird. Where did this idea come from??? If they make this movie right, it should be a success.

It sounds as if you're confusing loving the actors/tresses and loving what they are in. You've just illustrated yourself, you might not like a movie but like the people in it so that makes it 'good' to you even though you admit the movie was poor. Also, every Xena fan loved Locusts? I don't think so. The Lucy Lawless and/or Xena fans you are talking about loved her, yes fine, not necessarily the movie, or perhaps some even liked the movie but no so much her performance. Then you went on to say it's the quality of the thespian, you/me/others may like the person, that doesn't mean we'll like everything they are in but we'll still like them perhaps, that doesn't make you less of a fan. I'm not saying that a Xena movie would be bad, I'm saying that I'm open to the fact that just like you said about the cartoon version, a movie might not work. It depends on whose making it and how they want to interpret it. If it's good and true to the story/characters or even different but still enjoyable then good, if it's not, it's not, it doesn't mean I'll like the character any less or the person, unless of course they did something I completely disagreed with, but that is another issue altogether.

It seems you're questioning when really in the above post you just exemplified what I said. For example, you asked whether I was saying it's all down to quality and then said everyone including hardcore fans will only judge it on how it's done, that is exactly what I was saying - it depends on how it is done. When before you said, Xenal fans will like it no matter what and then went on to say it can't be bad, now you're saying it depends on how it's done which is what I was saying. Also, you talk about Xena fans and 'everyone' as if you can predict what they will think, but then in the very next sentence say in your opinion.

Okay I see your point. Like when "Married with Fishsticks" came out. Not many Xena like this episode. I happen to like it, but that's me. Most Xena fans (Not all, trying to make a point) gave this episode a thumbs down, even though they are true xena fans. This is the point your trying to tell me and I understand now. If they were to make a movie, like the above epsiode, no matter how hardcore Xena fan you are, it won't do good. Only a majorty of Xena fans would enjoy this movie, but most wouldn't. I'm not sure if this would be a good movie idea, but it only fits the last episdoe, but they should go back in time and change the past so Xena doesn't die. Hmm, that's an interesting question. I agree with you completely, on having to change the past so that she doesn't die or make it so that she comes back (as they did tons of times with her and Callisto) to life or is reincarnated (like in the Indiana Jones episode) but I'm not sure about a plot outline. I like it when they do the epic stories, which it would need ot be for a film e.g. When she got knocked about by a tribe who were attacking some people, she saved a girl and got hit by a massive tree trunk, then Gabrielle had to save her and we saw her past with Ceaser etc. Or the one where she goes to China to kill the emporer. I was never keen on the Hope plot line though, hmm... I don't think it would work in the future or present, or a film where they were pretending to make a film about the series (like they did in Bewitched) - ah. I know what could be perfect. There should be an ultimate war between the gods e.g. bring the Titans back to life and against the current gods (who killed them to become the gods plus Zeus has to die because I hate him lol ) and work Xena into it in a way where in the end she becomes a god too. The only problem would be that the actor who plays Aries is dead and it wouldn't be the same without him, unless they got a really good replacement, but yep I think if she somehow became immortal or a god, but just not in the way Aries wanted all along. Or perhaps she was a god, but became human. Something like that.

Working in the other characters wouldn't be too hard e.g. Autolycus and Salmoneus and it'd give the opportunity for some major Gladiator type battles but also have the persona, character conflict and struggle that we love from everyone - character plus action = Xena exactly to me . They'd have to work in a little humour in there as well though to make it just right, but please, no musicals

Yes that would work. I forgot about the Bewitched movie. That was a remake and it flopped. That's probably because different actors, different plot, and everything else different. Plus the fact that they waited to long to bring that show to the big screen. Its been 5 years since Xena passed. And yes if they do wait another 5 or ten years for this movie, it will flop. But if they make it when the fandom is still strong like next year at the lastest, it should do average. Don't you agree? In 5 or ten years Lucy and Renee wouldn't be able to do the movie anyways. I think the best plot line would have to be showing Gabrielle becoming a warrior by using Xena's Chakram and all. I always laugh when Gabby made Xena's warrior cry. I don't think bringing back the gods against the titans would work. Xena killed all the Gods except Ares, but Ares is dead, unfortunately. I think like the way they ended it, they should have a movie take place in Egypt. There hasn't been any episodes, or not many in Egypt anyway.

Ah I see, I didn't know that she had killed all of the gods (thank goodness - although Ares should have been first as a character imo) - because unfortuantely I didn't get to see the last two series and they sometimes put them on on non-cable tv but at really random times and dates and I miss them. I'm going to buy the DVD sets at some point to make up for it. So yes, Egypt and incorperating their gods would be fantastic, seeing as they've touched on the Indian ones already. It's great to show interaction between all those ancient cultures.

I think it's great when Renne does the Xena cry as well lol . I'm not sure I can imagine her being a better warrior then she became but you never know, and yes in another 10 years time it would be less convincing and mroe stunt doubles would be needed.

I believe if we keep writing to them, they will give in too us. Everyone from the show want's this movie. Rob has a money budget ready and everything, even a script. So really if this movie does happen, the script has already been made. It was written by Katherine Fugate "When Fates Collide" Fans want this movie. Just the rights are the stop in movie. Universal owns the rights and won't give them up right now. But if we prove to them we want this movie, it could happen. Believe it or not, I wrote to Universal at least 5 times. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but well see.

You really need to get the Seasons, your missing out a lot of good action/drama/comedy. I got all the seasons. If you can't afford all the seasons, they also have the 10th Anniversary Set which includes 17 episode favorites. Would you like the list for the episodes? I got that also. They missed out on a lot of good episodes though, like The Xena Scrolls.
