Your saying gay people ASK to be made fun of, beat up, or killed specificly because of their sexual orientation? As for standing up for ourselves, you SHOULDN'T HAVE TO, people have the right to be themselves, and shouldn't be treated any differently. That's almost like saying a person with a disabilty asks to be treated differently, or rape victims ASKS to be raped..

Well ya know what, if you act different you will be treated different.. that's how's its always been and having a parade won't change it. For me every day is PRIDE day, cuz I walk around proud of myself and my accomplishments. I don't need to be validated by a group of people, I am very INDEPENDENT person...

You don't know my life.. You can't say that I don't know what bullying is, I am currently in school to be a teacher with concentration in alternative schools, there are people you can go to that you don't have to lift a finger.

The world doesn't rotate around gay people, nor does it around straight people, people make this sexual orientation thing more than what it is, there are gay/str8 people who are physically incapable of defending themselves.

And FYI I've also lived in MA those Portuguese people are racist against any.. go to NY nobody cares there.. I lived in Rhode Island and those portugual people are madd old school..

i'm fully aware of discrimination in this country, but to "get it" no, I don't think I will.

I never been denied anything because of my Sexuality, because my sexuality isn't my identity, the only thing I was denied because of was for being gay was the rights/title of "God father" to my niece because of my homophobic brother in law, he said I could be "God Mother."
